Is there any better place for a first release of fine art than THE BLOCK?
Shortly after releasing my debut range of fine art prints, I was invited to feature artwork in The Block Shop, both online and in their St Kilda retail store - a huge moment for a brand-new collection.
What followed was an unexpected (and very exciting) series of selections by Block contestants themselves.

THE DESIGN APPROACH
With a strong focus on contemporary Australian design, The Block Shop curated a selection of local artists whose work aligned with the show’s elevated interiors and design-led audience.

Secret Weapon Creative’s fine art range (centred around minimal line work, emotion, and simplicity) was selected to sit alongside Australia’s most recognisable interiors brand.
MASTER SUITE SELECTION

Interest in the artwork spiked when Jesse and Mel selected the line drawing titled “Love” to feature in their high-end Master Suite. The piece was chosen for its understated emotion and ability to soften a luxury space - proof that minimal art can still make a powerful statement.

A SECOND SEASON

For the second year running, Secret Weapon Creative had the privilege of being selected again - this time by South Australian farmers Daniel and Jade.

The couple chose two artworks, “Blossom” and “Bloom”, to complete their hallway during Hell Week, a critical and highly scrutinised room reveal. Judge Darren Palmer praised the simplicity of the pieces, noting their strong appeal to the Brighton buyers market - a huge endorsement for work rooted in restraint and balance.

“Thank you beautiful Bree for being you and creating such stunning artwork! Bree’s artwork hangs in the hallway of our Block home and as a special gift she created them for us too!” - Jade & Daniel, The Block Contestants

THE OUTCOME
Being selected not once, but twice, by Block contestants was an incredibly affirming moment for Secret Weapon Creative’s fine art direction.

From The Block Shop shelves to some of the most-watched interiors in Australia, these pieces proved that thoughtful, minimal artwork can hold its own in high-end, design-forward spaces.

More importantly, it reinforced what we believe deeply - that art doesn’t need to shout to be seen.
